The Israeli military has barred most Israeli citizens from entering parts of the West Bank that are controlled by the Palestinian Authority, like Bethlehem, since the outbreak of the second Palestinian uprising in 2000. Be'chol Lashon National Outreach Director Lacey Schwartz caught up with the man known as MaNisthana and asked him about being an "anti-activist" and about the phenomenon of "Joc slapping."

I found out about this while navigating in a site to vote for Lori Palatnik of Aish and googled "MaNishtana, Shais Rison" and found this video on this topic which is thought provoking. The actual survey result says that:

"A substantial and growing number of Americans say that Barack Obama is a Muslim, while the proportion saying he is a Christian has declined. More than a year and a half into his presidency, a plurality of the public says they do not know what religion Obama follows."

A new national survey by the Pew Research Center finds that nearly one-in-five Americans (18%) now say Obama is a Muslim, up from 11% in March 2009. Only about one-third of adults (34%) say Obama is a Christian, down sharply from 48% in 2009. Fully 43% say they do not know what Obama's religion is. The survey was completed in early August, before Obama's recent comments about the proposed construction of a mosque near the site of the former World Trade Center." Ahmad Zaghbar, a 14 year-old Palestinian boy, states in an interview on official Palestinian Authority television that Israeli soldiers hesitated to shoot when he and others attacked an Israeli tank during the terror war (intifada). He explains that the soldiers who opened fire did not aim at the attackers but at the flag that Ahmad was carrying. He says that Israeli soldiers have humanity and that when they see Palestinian children, it reminds them of their own children

Horrible way to live! If one has no choice then one has no choice. It may be a bit claustrophobic though. I think it is specially cramped for 3 or more people to live there that way... it might cause a few fights or real good co-operation and sharing. I believe that a bigger effort should have been made locally. Sometimes people get so into their own things that they do not see others sinking. Obviously, he is a proud Jew. Obviously, the wedding contained smidgens of Jewishness among a sea of non-Jewish values and obviously it contained great flaws. That lost Jew obviously sent out a wrong message to other lost Jews who like him, do not see the value of their own soul for lack of knowing what it is involved and for falling into the environment that that truly is not one's own while some of these lost Jews hailed the idea for the wrong reasons

A Concert starring three Chassidic singers took place Motzei Shabbos at the new Kutsher's hotel in Monticello, NY. The performances, which were accompanied by the musical talents of the Freilach Orchestra, went on until 2:00 am. The concert was produced by Green Apple Productions

It would nice if all the Children of Israel would turn back into the foundations, Torah and morals, including the ten missing tribes; in essence, to properly keep the laws. As for conversions, it is not for everyone since it involves the strict adherence to the 613 Laws/Mitzvot given at Mount Sinai. For those non-Jews who feel the inclination for some form of Judaism, there is always the 7 laws of Noah to adhere although it was given to all humanity.
