The ceremony was held on Monday night at Jerusalem's Mount Menuhot ceremetery. Current Chief Rabbi Yonah Metzger cried as he delivered a eulogy to the Sephardi Chief Rabbi who served from 1983 to 1993. Leading figures including Rabbi Ovadia Yosef attended the funeral as well as knesset members and local leaders, both religious and non religious including Jerusalem Mayor Nir Barakat. The Head of Rabbi Eliyahu's office Rav Shmuel Zaphrani read aloud a prayer found in Rav Eliyahu's pocket the day he died. Rabbi Mordechai Eliyahu was considered a spiritual giant of the religious zionist community in Israel and was widely respected and admired. He died at the age of 81
They still want to destroy Israel and still are conning people. They got legitimized while they do acts of terror. Meanwhile Israel gets demonized. Because of this so called legitimacy, US talks to the terrorists and admonishes Israel. Why does the US and other countries not talk with the Taliban, Al Quaida, etc???? Just legitimize them and they will be to talk to them

I believe, US is out of line. This shows terrorism works. It shows that US unconsciously endorses Helen Thomas' view. It is humiliating. As for the money that US pledged, who will be supervising to see where the money will really go? When will US stop supporting the other team as they did in the past with with Al Quaida who turned against US as will most likely, Fatah who US militarily trained and really start to stand with Israel?
