Israel is the Jewish homeland, given by G-d Himself. One of the precept/law that was given it is to settle the land. In this modern times, Hashem made it happen and made it possible for Jews to again freely live in our own land. With gifts of life, Hashem always gives the world the choice to whether keep or not keep His Laws/Mitzvot. That is the free choice that He gives us and it is up to us to choose well
