Jerusalem - Israel's prime minister says he will vigorously defend his country's borders after a mass infiltration from Syria.
In a televised address Sunday, Benjamin Netanyahu said he hopes calm will be quickly restored.
But he said, "Nobody should be mistaken. We are determined to defend our borders and sovereignty."
Hundreds of Palestinians stormed across the Syrian border into the Israeli-controlled Golan Heights earlier Sunday. The border breach set off several hours of violent clashes, leaving at least four people killed.
There were also deadly clashes along the borders of Lebanon and the Gaza Strip

The "Palestinians got Gaza after Israel handed it to them in '05. They achieved that after their PR in the media and having songs of peace over the years was successful when some posed as Jews and leftists who recruited Jews who had a sympathetic ear to them since they may have not known that there was the Radical Islam element in this. Originally, Arafat would give his speeches in Arabic to the Israeli Arabs and in those instances he would tell them to keep on waving the word peace at the Jews like a candy and make promises that were not to be kept. Essentially one of their strategy was to get land in chunks, little by little and then ask for Israle to revert back to the '67 border, then ask for '48 border and eventually for the whole of Israel. It is ridiculous yet it is being done and people seem to be following their lead!!!! Another strategy is to get the equivalent to the Israeli law of return to apply to them and fight within so they will overtake land that way
